Roma president Rosella Sensi has pleaded with the media and fans to have patience regarding the imminent renewal of Alberto Aquilani’s contract with the Giallorossi.
Alberto Aquilani is one of Roma’s key players and a talent for the future, but his contract issues have caused a stir in the capital, with Sensi struggling to get the youngster to agree to a new deal.
The news of a slight rift between the player and his club saw numerous suitors come out of the woodwork in an effort to sign him. Inter Milan, Juventus and Real Madrid were just a few of the names linked with the Italian international’s future.

Aquilani’s current contract with the capital club will run out in June 2010 and a four year extension seems to be a possible conclusion to the deal, but it is taking time to complete.
Following yesterday’s 2-2 draw with Milan is Serie A, where Aquilani made an impressive appearance from the bench, Sensi commented on the situation. “In terms of Aquilani’s contract renewal, I ask you please to give us time to work on it.” Until his renewal is official however, most Roma fans are set to be nervous during this open transfer window, with one of their finest clearly in demand.
