It has been a series of ups and downs for Inter during the summer transfers, since some of their stars appear to be disgruntled over the failure to emulate their success in the league on the European stage. This has prompted many to speculate that some of their bigger names like Maicon and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were on the verge of leaving the shores in search of better prospects.
However, Ibra recently came out with an interview in the Swedish tabloid Expressen saying that he had taken himself off the market, and expressed his belief in the Beneamata cause.
Presently, Massimo Moratti, the Inter president, has spoken saying that the club has not got any convincing proposals yet. He also said that he had read the interview concerning their Swedish star. The president went further and needled the player’s agent when he said that agents sometimes remote control the players. He hoped that the most important players would stay with the club, as there is very little money floating on the market.
The Nerazzuri top boss eventually said that the squad size needs to be trimmed, because some of the players would not get a chance if they have too many players. It is believed that the club is trying to dispose of their excess baggage, by selling Mancini, Nelson Rivas, Victor Obinna, and some others.
