Milan have been desperately hunting for a striker, and had narrowed down on Edin Dzeko of Wolfsburg. However, the Bundesliga club has made it abundantly clear that their star is not for sale. This has in turn caused the Diavolo to look elsewhere for reinforcements.
Among the names listed as a second choice forward, the club has set its sights on signing either Emmanuel Adebayor or Luis Fabiano. Adriano Galliani, the vice president of the Serie A club, has said that he spoke to Arsene Wenger, and it appears that the talk was a friendly one that concerned the enquiry if the club were willing to let go of the Togo international.
The heavyweights from the peninsula have made the initial approach, and the ball is now in the Gunners’ court.
