The president of Udinese, Giampaolo Pozzo, has come out saying that he regrets the fact that the negotiations with Juventus for the sale of Gaetano D’Agostino has broken down.
The 27-year-old midfielder was preparing to switch one Bianconeri shirt for another, which would have given him a chance to represent a club that he supported since he was a child. But a move to the Old Lady looks bleak, as the negotiations have stopped.
Pozzo went on to explain that the Turin based club was offering only £7-8 million for the former Roma player, whom the club valued at £17 million. He even went as far as saying that the Udine based club was prepared for an exchange deal, but regretted the fact that nothing materialised.
Although the giants of Turin are not in favour of procuring the player, it appears that there are other clubs chasing D’Agostino, including one from England. The president concluded by saying that anything is still possible, although he doubted if la Fidanzata d’Italia would come calling again.
