According to various reports, Bologna have confirmed that negotiations are under way for a takeover of the club. The Felsinei are currently owned by the Menarini family, but there has been increasing pressure from the fans due to the fact that they only just managed to keep their heads above the Serie B waters last season. The Tifosi have been further angered by the fact that the club was consulting the Calciopoli mastermind Luciano Moggi to help with their transfers.
Renzo Menarini has reported said that talks are under way with more than one group. If local newspapers are to be believed, Rezart Taci, an Albanian oil magnate, is in the lead to buy a majority stake in the Rossoblu outfit.
Taci had shown interest in buying a majority share in the club last season, but it appears as though his efforts will be successful this time.
