England manager Fabio Capello has declared his intention to see out his contract with the Three Lions, which expires in 2012.
The former Milan coach – who has won Scudetti in four different cities, albeit two controversial titles – insists that he will respect the agreement with the English FA. Capello was responding to rumours that he will quit England following the World Cup in South Africa.
Don Fabio went on to stress that he believes in England’s youth and that the U-21 side has seen the promotion of a few youngsters to the senior squad, namely the likes of James Milner and Ashley Young.
He also mentioned that both Wayne Rooney of Manchester United and Arsenal’s Theo Walcott are still very young and are important for their respective clubs.
The respected tactician, who won two titles with Real Madrid spanning two separate stints, has also praised England’s established stars such as Chelsea’s John Terry.
If he sticks by his latest comments, then Capello is expected to manage England through Euro 2012 before calling an end to an illustrious and glittering career laden with achievements and titles.
