England international David Beckham has come out saying that he has not decided which team he will join when the present Major League Soccer season draws to a close. The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder knows that he must play in Europe, or fall prey to the axe-wielding England manager Fabio Capello, who will decide which players get to travel to South Africa and compete in the 2010 World Cup.
Beckham insists that he is committed to LA Galaxy, but also confirms that he will not jeopardise his chances of participating in the World Cup. The former Real Madrid player had a short spell with Milan last season, when he signed a loan for several months with the Rossoneri in order to remain both fit as well as competitive.
The 34-year-old Englishman acknowledges that he does prefer to play with il Diavolo following the end of MLS season in January. But he also mentioned that he has three or four others teams including clubs from the Premier League that are vying for his services.
It remains to be seen whether Don Fabio will give ‘Golden Balls’ some playing time against Croatia in a crucial World Cup qualifier at Wembley, or if he will remain a spectator as in the friendly game against Slovenia.
