Milan coach Leonardo is still on the lookout for a full-back following the unconvincing performances of players such as Marek Jankulovski, Giuseppe Favalli, as well as Gianluca Zambrotta.
The Italy right-back, who can also deputise on the other flank, has been showing clear signs of ageing legs with his performances mostly limited to defensive duties. Zambrotta seems incapable of going on those roaming runs and then tracking back to defend, as age has obviously crept into his game.
The Brazilian was even forced to use Ignazio Abate, a winger, as a right-back during Milan’s weekend encounter against Bologna. The Rossoneri management is reportedly looking for some reinforcements, and one name being mentioned is Brazilian Alisson Veloso.
The full-back plays for Corinthians and appears to be in favour of a European move. The 21-year-old has caught the attention of scouts with his consistent and convincing performances.
Rio de Janeiro based O Globo has recently implied that il Diavolo could potentially move for the promising youngster following reports that the San Siro outfit has been keep an eye on him to monitor his development.
