Juventus midfielder Mohamed Sissoko is desperate to take to the pitch following an extended period of injury.
The 24-year-old fractured his foot in March against Torino, and was consequently out of action since. But the player is expected to start against Fiorentina during the weekend.
“I am delighted to comeback, I am like a baby with his first Christmas gift,” Sissoko told Sky Sports.
“I can’t wait to start – Fiorentina on Saturday, what a comeback game!
“They have done well in the Champions League against my old club [Liverpool], but I am ready to play.
“We are going for the title again this season so we need the points in the bag.”
Apart from club football, the player also looked ahead at the African Nations Cup, where he will play as a representative of the Mali flag.
“I am also happy for Mali to qualify for the African Nations Cup, we missed the World Cup but let’s pray for another opportunity in 2014,” he concluded.
