Marco Borriello, the hero of the match against Parma after scoring a brace, admitted that he was close to quitting the game due to injury.
The Rossoneri striker is gradually returning to shape, but insisted he will only be fully fit after the winter break.
Borriello told Sky Sport 24 that he is satisfied with his goals and the victory and that he is excited ahead of the Tuesday clash with Real Madrid at the San Siro.
With Dutch striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar unable to impress and hold a starting place in the Milan line-up, the progress made by Borriello will be important to manager Leonardo. Alexandre Pato will hold one of the two attacking spots against Los Galacticos, while the other will go to either Borriello or veteran Filippo Inzaghi.
