Catania are on a poor run of form, as they have lost three on the trot, though it must be said that two of those defeats came against Inter and Fiorentina. But the loss to Chievo sandwiched between the other two results has made the Rossazzurri look very bad on paper, and the fact that they currently lie in the drop zone only makes things worse for manager Gianluca Atzori, who could be axed if this result goes the wrong way.
On the other side of the fence, Napoli have come back well from their early season ‘blues’ to notch up three wins and a draw in their last four games. The stalemate came against Milan, when the Azzurri sensationally came back from two goals down to salvage a point in the final few moments of the match.
If form is anything to go by, the visitors have the upper hand, but sometimes all it takes is 90 minutes for a side to resurge and change the direction in which their season may be headed.
