Roma earned a 1-1 draw to Inter at the San Siro, despite the fact that their captain Daniele De Rossi had to be substituted in the first-half owing to injury. The visitors took the lead early on, as a cross by Marco Motta was met with a header by Mirko Vucinic, thereby sending the ball past the goalkeeper. The Lupi skipper was unintentionally elbowed by Patrick Vieira, and was consequently replaced as Ricardo Faty came on. The Nerazzurri came back in the second period, when a through ball from Javier Zanetti saw Samuel Eto’o do what he does best.

Within minutes, Felipe Melo had restored the margin of the lead, but Fabio Ceravolo pulled his side within touching distance of the Old Lady. But the visitors ran away with an easy victory after Diego and David Trezeguet put a goal each past the ‘keeper to draw closer to the Inter.
