Real Madrid midfielder Guti is being linked with a potential move to Inter, though at the age of 33 he is unlikely to be a target for coach Jose Mourinho.

The Spaniard has found it hard to break into Manuel Pellegrini’s starting line-up, despite the inconsistent start by Los Galacticos.

According to reports on Sportmediaset, Guti has been in touch with his former Madrid teammate Wesley Sneijder, who currently plies his trade for the Nerazzurri.

Years ago, Inter president Massimo Moratti had shown interest in swooping for the Spaniard but now with his advancing age it is unlikely that a move will materialise.

Mourinho may welcome solid additions to his midfield, yet it remains unlikely that he will favour the signing of a player on the wrong side of 30.
