Buffon Makes 100 Appearances For Italy

gianluigi-buffonJuventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon celebrated his 100th cap for Italy by keeping a clean sheet in a scoreless draw against the Netherlands.

The legendary ‘keeper reflected on his international career and voiced his pleasure at having been part of a consistent team for over a decade, whilst expressing his pleasure at having won the World Cup in 2006.

Buffon concluded by telling Rai that he would welcome the recall of Alessandro Del Piero to the national team, but left the decision in the hands of coach Marcello Lippi. The Bianconeri custodian insisted that he trusts the decisions of the boss, and is confident that the Paul Newman lookalike will make the right choices.
