Former Inter coach Roberto Mancini is being linked with managing Russia, following the country’s failure to qualify for the 2010 World Cup.
Mancini’s name has been linked with a number of jobs, including taking over once Marcello Lippi steps down from the forefront of the affairs of the Italian national team.
According to Sportmediaset.it, the former Sampdoria star is said to be contemplating the idea of coaching Russia, if current boss Guus Hiddink should leave.
Reports in the English Press have indicated Hiddink’s interest in returning to Chelsea in a role as a director, as current coach Carlo Ancelotti has the London side firmly on top of the Premier League.
