Sevilla’s Ernesto  Chevanton will be joining Atalanta on loan during the January transfer window.

The Uruguayan striker has previously featured for Lecce, and should not have trouble with adjusting to the style of play employed in the peninsula. The official website of Sevilla confirmed the move will be made official on January 2, 2010.

Chevanton has been concerned about his lack of first-team football and was looking for more playing time, as Uruguay will be part of 2010 World Cup. The striker reportedly does not want to risk missing out on the trip to South Africa.
