Antonio CandrevaAntonio Candreva’s stock is rising as he continues to impress with his performances for Livorno, which recently resulted in his international debut for Italy. Marcello Lippi has shown faith in the promising midfielder and the 22-year-old has not disappointed.

The Udinese player – who is currently on loan with the Amaranto – has been linked with several top clubs in recent times.

According to The Sun, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be watching Candreva as he is looking for a replacement for Michael Essien.

The Ghanian midfielder- along with Nigeria’s John Mikel Obi – is expected to be away for the African Cup of Nations, and consequently adequate alternatives will be needed for the west London club’s push to stay at the pinnacle of the Premier League.
