Bayern Munich knocked Juventus out of the Champions League with a resounding 4-1 victory in Turin.
The Bianconeri drew first blood, with David Trezeguet getting on the score sheet in the 19th minute. But that was to be the last time that the hosts would be seen with a smile on their faces.
The referee declared a penalty when Ivica Olic was taken down in the area. As curious as it sounds, goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt stepped up to take the spot-kick, sending Gianluigi Buffon the wrong way to level the terms.
The Bavarian giants came out fighting for the victory in the second period, and goals from Olic, Mario Gomez, and a late one from Anatoliy Tymoshchuk sealed the victory, and hence a spot in the last 16 of the European competition.
