Roma are reportedly interested in signing a striker to bolster their ranks, as it is said that coach Claudio Ranieri believes that the Giallorossi are suffering from a lack of options upfront.
Various forwards have been linked with a move to the capital, and il Corriere dello Sport claim that Schalke attacker Kevin Kuranyi has been identified as a preferred choice. It has been speculated that he will not cost more than a €2 million, as his contract with the German club expires June 2010.
The Lupi have been constantly mentioned with regard to a potential move for striker Luca Toni, who plies his trade for Bayern Munich. Two former Inter forwards – Adriano & Ruud van Nistelrooy – have been linked with a move to the Stadio Olimpico as well.
The problem with these last three strikers is they will cost a fair amount of money, and their salary might be beyond what cash strapped club may be willing to pay.
