Marius Stankevicius has reportedly completed a loan move from Sampdoria to Sevilla, pending a medical exam.

The 28-year-old will be on loan until the end of the season, with the Spanish club having an option to buy the player.

The Rojiblancos have will use Stankevicius as a replacement for Sergio Sanchez, who was asked to stop playing due to a heart condition.

The Lithuania international is known for his intelligence in reading the game, and can play at right-back as well as in the centre of defence.
