Romanian striker Adrian Mutu has been at the center of controversy once again during his unpredictable careers as CONI reported he failed two drug tests for  banned substances. Fiorentina’s management and coaching staff have stood by the Romanian with Coach Cesare Prandelli stating his player unknowingly took pills containingthe banned substance called sibutramine.

Now la Gazzetta dello Sport reports Mutu has sent CONI the supposedly natural pills which help suppress appetite so lab tests can be done to confirm the pills have the banned substance in them despite not including it on the label.

If this hold true then Mutu will likely be exonerated. The Gigliati have already taken measures to cover his absence with the on-loan signing of Barcelona-owned Brazilian striker Keirrison.
