The Bianconeri are struggling to score goals with Brazilian Amauri having a dismal campaign while experienced strikers David Trezeguet and Alessandro Del Piero have missed time with injury and are on the wrong side of 30. The other striker Vincenzo Iaquinta was having a decent season till he joined the extensive injury list at Vinovo.

According to Tuttosport the Bianconeri are pursuing a number of names to fill in the void in attack with Real Madrid’s Gonzalo Higuain been considered as a prime candidate. The Argentine striker has scored 12 times in 15 league appearances. He is the club’s top scorer and it is unlikely Los Galacticos would want to lose their scoring threat without cashing in on him. It is reported Real would demand close to €35 million for his services.

If the Bianconeri fail to sign him, then they will pursue Sampdoria’s Giampaolo Pazzini who is having a good season in Genoa.
